Staying Pure Across The World

People in different countries celebrate being pure in many different ways. People as far out as Africa. In the following video clip, thousands of Zulu girls in South Africa pledge their purity by doing the purity dance.

NBC NEWS TALK PURITY

PURITY BALLS

Father Daughter purity balls have become a national movment. It is a memorable ceremony for fathers to sign commitments to be responsible men of integrity in all areas of purity. They vow to protect their daughters in their choices for purity. The daughters commit to live pure lives before God through the symbol of laying down a white rose at the cross.

Why is it that, almost all purity balls are centered around daughters and their fathers? Can't young men make the same decision to stay pure and go to the same purity balls? I believe that boys should be treated the same as the girls. Most of these dances are referred to as "Father Daughter Purity Balls" which in my opinion is a double-standard. These purity balls should include the whole family; fathers, daughters, mothers and sons.
