Teaching your children to have good morals is great! Telling them that they should wait until marriage to have sex is also a good thing (To each its own). Some of the children who attend these balls are only doing it to please their parents (especially the ones who are of a younger age). My question to you is: Should parents make their kids attend purity balls or should the child make this decision on their own?
In my personal opinion, purity rings are okay for some people but for others, they put way to much pressure on someone to stay celibate or to stay a virgin. I believe that you do not neccessarily need a ring or anything unless you want to because if a person is committed to staying a virgin or staying celibate, then they are going to do it whether they have a ring or not.
